What a great time I had at Matt & Kelsie’s Winnipeg Engagement At The Leaf at Assiniboine Park.

Kelsie and Matt really wanted to do a Boho themed engagement shoot, which is the same theme as their up and coming wedding. They chose the Leaf in Winnipeg, which really incorporates all those amazing themes, colours and ideas Kelsie and Matt had.

It was such a nice day, considering we still had snow on the ground, which thankfully was disappearing quickly.

One thing to consider when having photos at The Leaf, dress light, as it is super super humid inside. There are so many wonderful places to photograph in there.

A tip for photographers, make sure you bring lens wipes due to the very heavy humidity inside.

It was so nice getting to know Kelsie and Matt, what a super great couple, So super chill and easy to hang out with. It was so much fun, and the shoot went by way too fast, because of the fun we were having and how laid back and easy it was. We are all from Stonewall, Manitoba and all graduates of SCI

I really love the whole tropical themed. I was a surfer and beach volleyball player in California when I was living in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California after university, before I became a pilot.

I was bartending under the table at a massive night club called the Red Onion on Pacific Beach, right down the boardwalk from where I used to live in my bachelor apartment I shared with two other surfers who were friends of mine.

We spent all of time off surfing and playing beach volley ball all up and down the California Baha. So this theme for Matt & Kelsie’s Winnipeg Engagement At The Leaf was right up my ally.
